DIY Fashion - Zip-up Trousers

I was bored of wearing the same black jeans and decided to do my own version of DIY zip-up jeans, the carrot-top (haremish?) style is quite in atm so I made ones kinda inspired by punk and vivienne westood but a lot more subtle and wearable.

kinda like these

1. First pin the zips the secure to the jeans like so, don't have them straight but going out at the end because you want to gather less fabric in the wider part of your leg in the calf.
2. Try them on and once you are happy with the effect sew the zips into place.
3. Once you are done on both legs, zip the zips up and you are pretty much done unless you want to turn up the funny legs as it does result in a leg flare, I used safety pins to keep them in place.
4. Here you are some zip-up jeans that you can zip according to the effect you want (balance out tight calves and baggy thighs)

Roman Numerals

Recently I have been quite interested in getting myself some roman numeral items ever since seeing Mikey Craig in an old Culture Club album sporting what looks like a roman numeral brooch.

Because I am an ebay addict I looked it and couldn't find the brooch but found this pretty nice ring that I got for £4

Also found this stencil for £1.25, I thought this could turn into a nice crafting task of printing some roman numerals on t-shirts, hats or whatever. I'll keep ya posted!

Some Images I found

Some beautiful images of some old hollywood film stars in hats.
